What Are The Blessings Of The Holyspirit?
The blessings of the Holyspirit are the benefits that are conferred on you as a result of your accepting him into your heart.
The Holyspirit is a person and has some distinguishing characteristics that you should manifest.
The Blessings Of The Holyspirit Are:
1. Freedom From Sin
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
There is a spiritual law of life because of Christ which enables you to live a righteous life.
It is this law that sets a person free from the sinful life that leads to death.
Sin is transgression, offense, separation, or rejection of God and His ways by man
As a result of the sin of Adam, which there is no record of him repenting, every human being born into this world was born a sinner
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
2. Cancellation Of Death Penalty
Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
The penalty of sin is death and its consequences
The cancellation of death is one of the blessings of the Holyspirit
3. It Fulfills Righteousness
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Righteousness means right standing with God and right living.
You cannot archive the righteousness of God on your own or by works but with the help of the Holyspirit
4. Indwells Believers
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord, the Holyspirit comes to dwell in your heart.
He is also called the Spirit of holiness
5. Gives Life To Believers
Rom 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Any person without Christ is dead because of sin. This is of course a spiritual death!
Death means separation.
There are three types of death or separation.
Spiritual death means separation from God as a result of sin.
Adam separated himself from God when he sinned
God is a Spirit.
Have you reconciled with God?
Do you have peace with God and Yourself?
When you have Christ, you have a new life
He is the life, the way, and the truth
6. Quickens The Mortal Body
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
It is the power of the Holyspirit that raised the physical body of Jesus Christ from the dead
7. Mortifies Sinful Members
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
8. Leads The Children Of God
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
When you allow the Spirit of God to lead you, He will never lead you astray.
He will always lead you on the right path of righteousness
When you are controlled by the Spirit of God you are a child of God
9. Adopts People Into God’s Family
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
10. Bears Witness Of Sonship
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God
11. Helps Believers Infirmities
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
12. Makes Intercession For Saints
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
